39 photographs : b&w ; 15 x 10 cm. - Photographs mounted on card board and bound in a commercially produced leather photograph album (24 cm.). - Newton High School, established in 1859, was located on Walnut Street in Newtonville, a village of Newton, Massachusetts. It was the only public high school in the city until 1960 when a second high school was built. This is an album of formal mounted sepia photographs of graduating seniors in 1885. Some photographs have names hand written on the oval cardboard frames. - |
